HSMC Innovation Project Competition Awards Presentation Ceremony

To promote the innovation and creativity culture in HSMC, the Centre for Teaching and Learning (CTL) launched the first HSMC Innovation Project Competition in academic year 2015/16.

The competition was successfully completed in May 2016, a total number of 21 project proposals had been received with over 40 students participated in the competition.

The Awards Presentation Ceremony for HSMC Innovation Project Competition was held on 6 September 2016 in Room A401, 4/F, S.H. Ho Academic Building with a reception and poster presentations by awardees prior to the awards presentation ceremony. Staff and students took the chance to meet and greet the awardees, listened to the presentations, raised questions and shared their own views on the projects.

In the ceremony, we were honored to have Professor Simon Ho, President, and Mr K.P. Cheng, Member of College Council of HSMC, to give us the Welcome Speeches to congratulate and honor the awardees, and also to share their notions of innovation.

After the speeches, Mr Cheng presented the three Merit Awards and Professor Ho presented the Excellence Award to the selected teams and projects.

Excellence Award in Business Innovation

  • Project “Smart Technologies for Maintaining Your Product Lifetime Value” by the team “SmartTech”

Merit Award in Social Innovation
  • Project “U-Hall” by the team “Futurama”

Merit Awards in Business Innovation
  • Project “Jobease” by the team “We care”
  • Project “Leveraging the Big Data Analytics for SMEs” by the team “BA Smart”

Mr Lee Chun Shing, Anson, the representative from the team “SmartTech” (Awarded team of Excellence Award) and the 2015/16 graduate of Supply Chain and Information Management, shared his experience of participating in the HSMC Innovation Project Competition with staff and students.
