The Centre for Teaching and Learning (CTL) is pleased to congratulate four colleagues on successfully attaining professional recognition through the Advance HE Fellowship scheme.
The awardees include:
- Mr TAM Man Fei Manviel – Associate Fellow (AFHEA)
- Dr Valerie Tang – Fellow (FHEA)
- Ir Dr George Ho – Fellow (FHEA)
- Mr CHOW Wing Ho – Associate Fellow (AFHEA)
Advance HE Fellowship is an internationally recognised professional accreditation aligned with the Professional Standards Framework (PSF 2023), recognising effective engagement in teaching and supporting learning in higher education.
The four colleagues participated in a fellowship development process involving critical reflection on their professional practice, evidence-based portfolio preparation, and alignment with the Professional Standards Framework. Throughout the process, they articulated their contributions to student learning and demonstrated their commitment to continuous professional development.
To support colleagues pursuing professional recognition, Mr Kelvin Wan, Senior Fellow of Advance HE (SFHEA) and Digital Learning Specialist of CTL, served as mentor and fellowship advisor, providing guidance on reflective writing, evidence mapping, and portfolio development. Through regular consultation and feedback, colleagues were supported in presenting their professional experiences and achievements in accordance with Advance HE requirements.
The successful attainment of two Fellowships (FHEA) and two Associate Fellowships (AFHEA) reflects HSUHK’s continued commitment to teaching excellence and the professional development of colleagues across academic and professional support roles.
We congratulates all awardees on this significant achievement and looks forward to their continued contributions to teaching, learning, and student success.
