GenAI Empowered Creativity Workshop (MGT3013)

On 11 March 2026, Mr Kelvin Wan and Ms Charlotte Lee from the Digital Learning Section (Centre for Teaching and Learning) delivered the “GenAI Empowered Creativity Workshop” to support students in the MGT3013 International Management culturally inspired restaurant project. The workshop aimed to help students integrate Generative AI into the creative and strategic design of their restaurant concepts.

During the session, students were introduced to the C.R.A.F.T prompt engineering framework (Context, Role, Action, Format, Tone) to structure effective AI prompts for ideation and creative development. Through guided hands-on activities, students experimented with AI tools to generate restaurant concepts, menu descriptions, interior design visuals, and promotional content, while reflecting on how AI can support — rather than replace — human creativity and decision-making.

Students also explored the ethical and responsible use of AI, including discussions on bias, cultural sensitivity, and accessibility in AI-generated outputs. Interactive exercises encouraged students to critically evaluate AI responses and refine prompts to produce culturally respectful and contextually appropriate outputs for their projects.

The workshop further demonstrated an end-to-end creative workflow using multiple AI tools, including text generation, image creation, music generation, and text-to-video production. Students learned how these tools could be combined to produce a short promotional video and brand narrative for their cross-cultural restaurant concepts.

Overall, the workshop enhanced students’ AI literacy, prompt design skills, and critical awareness of AI outputs, empowering them to use Generative AI as a collaborative partner in creative problem-solving and cross-cultural business innovation.
