Mr Kelvin Wan, Digital Learning Specialist of the Centre for Teaching and Learning (CTL), and Ms Rosalie Woo, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Economics and Finance, represented HSUHK at the Hong Kong Teaching Excellence Alliance (HKTEA) Symposium 2026 – Intellect and Inquiry on 28 August 2026.
Their presentation, “Beyond Content Generation: Developing AI Readiness Through Game-Based Online Learning”, showcased the integration of a self-paced game-based learning course into an undergraduate project in which students designed financial literacy games for elderly learners. Drawing on survey data, student performance and project work, the presentation highlighted how authentic learning experiences can support students in developing the skills and judgement needed to work effectively and critically with Generative AI.
