Event Highlights
The Centre for Teaching and Learning hosted its “Service-Learning Day 2024” on 6 June 2024, to showcase the effectiveness of service-learning modules through various activities.
A highlight of the day was the “Service-Learning Excellence Awards Ceremony cum Student Forum 2024”. This year, 19 teachers and 20 student project teams were recognised with Service-Learning Excellence Awards, while 14 service-learning ambassadors were honoured for their contributions. The awardees shared their service-learning projects and achievements, many of which have made a difference in the community.
A service-learning seminar was held before the Ceremony and featured discussions. Representatives from Hong Kong Baptist University shared their insights on the impact of service-learning on both community and students, as well as strategies for using reflective assessments to enhance the learning effectiveness in service-learning modules.
