Event Highlights
The Service-Learning Section at the Centre for Teaching and Learning, in collaboration with the Student Affairs Office and the Patrick S C Poon Amity College, co-organised the Service-Learning Fair 2024 at HSUHK. Kicking off on 15 October 2024, the Fair featured a three-day bazaar, an exhibition, and the “Serve2Learn” Talk Series. This event celebrated the spirit of service and community engagement, highlighting the impact of service-learning projects at HSUHK.
This year’s Fair was particularly special as it marked the 10th anniversary of the Centre for Teaching and Learning and the 5th anniversary of the Service-Learning Section, highlighting their contributions to enhancing students’ learning through meaningful service-learning initiatives.
Professor Joshua Mok, Provost and Vice-President (Academic & Research), and Professor Jeanne Fu, Vice-President (Learning and Student Experience), delivered remarks encouraging active involvement in service-learning, applying knowledge to bring a positive change to the society. Dr Ben Cheng, Director of the Centre for Teaching and Learning, expressed gratitude to teachers and external partners for their contributions. Over 50 community partners, faculty members and students gathered at the ceremony. Student representatives proudly showcased the outcomes of their service-learning experiences.
