To welcome the new semester for the 2025-26 academic year, the Centre for Teaching and Learning (CTL) organised a series of teaching and learning seminars, under the theme “Teaching Excellence in the New Semester: Refresh, Recharge and Renew”. This two-day seminar series took place on 18 and 25 August 2025, which was designed for both current and new academic teaching staff to enhance teaching and learning experiences by equipping them with effective and practical teaching pedagogy and strategies for the upcoming academic year.
Throughout the two-day seminar series, CTL invited various speakers from different fields, including recipients of the HSUHK Teaching Excellence Awards, to share their teaching experiences and insights. The aim was to revitalise teaching practices, exchange best practices, and introduce innovative approaches. Here are the highlights from the seminar series.

On the first day, CTL invited Dr George Ho and Mr Kelvin Wan from the Digital Learning Section to introduce the ethical use of AI in the learning environment and demonstrate how Generative AI can be integrated into daily teaching practices to enhance the teaching and learning experience for both teachers and students.
To support different learning needs of students, CTL also invited Ms Kary Tong, Senior Student Affairs Officer from the Student Affairs Office (SAO), to share valuable support services available for SEN (Special Educational Needs) students on campus and her insights on inclusive teaching and learning support for all learners.
