The Centre for Teaching and Learning (CTL) at The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong (HSUHK) is participating in a cross-institutional project led by The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) under the Fund for Innovative Technology-in-Education (FITE). The project brings together four universities—EdUHK, The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), HSUHK, and Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU)—to advance collaborative generative AI pedagogies and innovative teaching practices in higher education.
As part of the project’s professional development activities, EdUHK organised the first AI Playground Workshop, “From AI in Your Pocket to AI in Your Classroom: Everyday Tools, Digital Humans, and Collaborative AI Pedagogy,” on 27 October 2026. Led by Dr Davy Ng and Dr Fridolin Ting, the workshop explored the integration of everyday AI tools into classroom teaching through digital human demonstrations and collaborative learning activities using CollabSpace.AI.
As a project partner, CTL supported the promotion and dissemination of the workshop to university staff and postgraduate students. Mr Kelvin Wan and Ms Charlotte Lee from CTL also participated in the workshop in person, engaging in professional exchange with the speakers on the pedagogical applications and evaluation of generative AI.
Through this collaboration, CTL continues to strengthen connections with partner universities, support professional development opportunities, and explore innovative approaches to AI-enhanced teaching and learning.
