Abstract:

As stated in the HSUHK five-year strategic plan, the University aims to integrate emerging technologies into curricula and teaching and learning processes. It is particularly important for our teachers and students to be armed with emerging technologies.

In the first part of this workshop, we will firstly conduct an introduction section for the vision of e-learning in HSUHK, followed by some famous e-learning platforms and tools such as Moodle, MOOC, and QRS. In addition, some smart learning software will also be discussed in the workshop. The second part of the workshop will introduce the current development of the Virtual Reality Centre. Examples of how virtual reality, augmented reality and other related technologies can be used in enhancing teaching and learning experience, arousing students’ interest, and improving learning outcomes will be shared. A visit to the Virtual Reality Centre will be included at the end of the workshop.

The workshop is one of the sessions of the “Induction Programme for New Academic Staff 2022”.

All academic staff are welcome.
