To explore strategies and tips for creating a welcoming, positive and productive learning environment for students, the Centre for Teaching and Learning (CTL) and Staff Development Committee (SDC) invited three experienced teachers, Dr Chi-Kit Chan, Assistant Professor of School of Communication, Dr Holly Chung, Senior Lecturer of Department of English, and Dr Muk-Yan Wong, Assistant Professor of Department of Social Science, to conduct a forum entitled “Creating a Welcoming, Positive and Productive Learning Environment” on 12 October 2017.
In the forum, Dr Chan, Dr Chung and Dr Wong shared their valuable experience about how to create a welcoming, positive and productive learning environment for students with colleagues. Participants were keen to raise questions and got a lot of ideas and tips from speakers.
The forum was well attended with about 30 staff members from different departments and schools. Participants found the forum contents informative and useful.
