The Centre for Teaching and Learning (CTL) and the Academic Staff Development Committee (ASDC) jointly organized the third seminar in the series of the HSMC Teaching Excellence Awards Sharing Seminar on 4 May 2016 at room A315, S. H. Ho Academic Building.
The third seminar was delivered by Dr Holly Chung, the Senior Lecturer of Department of English and Mr Brian So, the Senior Lecturer of School of Communication, the two HSMC Teaching Excellence Award recipients, with the titles “The Art of Asking Questions” and “My Learning journey – how did I adjust the assignment to engage my student?”. In the seminar, Dr Chung shared with audience the tips of asking questions and motivating students to think and learn through meaningful questions, and Mr So shared the valuable experience of his teaching journey, how he figured and found out a good and effective way to teach and interact with students.
The sharing session was well attended with over 60 HSMC staff members from different Departments and Schools. Positive feedback was received from participants who found the seminar contents informative and useful.
