Seminar on “Abizgame – A Customizable Platform to Create Your Own Business Simulation Games”

With the aim to facilitate colleagues to have a better understanding of the customizable platform – Abizgame, developed by Department of Supply Chain and Information Management, the Centre for Teaching and Learning (CTL), Department of Supply Chain and Information Management (SCM) and Staff Development Committee (SDC) jointly organized a seminar entitled “Abizgame – A Customizable Platform to Create Your Own Business Simulation Games” on 15 November 2018. Dr Collin Wong, Associate Professor of Department of Supply Chain and Information Management and Associate Dean (External) of School of Decision Sciences, and Dr Tommy Cheung, Senior System Architect of Department of Supply Chain and Information Management were invited as seminar speakers.

In the seminar, Dr Wong introduced the Abizgame platform and shared their valuable experience about using the simulation games to suit special education needs and enhance students’ learning experience. After the introduction, Dr Cheung demonstrated how to create a tailor-made simulation game on the platform and invited participants to use the platform to play a simulation game.

The seminar was instructive and enlightening. Participants were keen to raise questions and engage in discussion with the speakers during the Q & A session.
