The Sharing Seminar II, titled “Business Education for Students without Business Background”, focused on business teaching. 3 recipients of the HSUHK Teaching Excellence Awards 2019/20 from the School of Business shared their valuable experience in delivering lively lessons by combining theories and daily life, telling stories, and writing cases. Here are their topics:

From Theory to Reality – How to bring abstract theories in books into daily life
By Ms Rosalie Woo, Senior Lecturer, Department of Economics and Finance

Storytelling and Management
By Dr Amy Wang, Assistant Professor, Department of Management

Getting a Taste of a Real Business by Case Teaching
By Dr Kenneth Kwong, Assistant Professor, Department of Marketing

Professor Bradley Barnes, Dean of the School of Business, gave an opening remark to congratulate his fellow colleagues on their achievements. Dr Ben Cheng, Director of CTL, introduced the speakers and praised their splendid teaching.

The Seminar was well-attended by a total of 41 participants, onsite and online. The audience found the content prepared by the speakers lively, fun and impressive. The Q&A session of the Seminar also provided a chance for colleagues to discuss and exchange their experience in teaching.

The Sharing Seminar III, “Service-Learning for Individuals, Society and Translation”, by Ms Maggie Wong and invited guests will follow on 8 April 2021 (Thursday).
